Support Safe Water

Rotary International’s President Bill Boyd and President-elect Wilfred Wilkinson have asked all clubs to participate in a water project in a developing country. They have also asked us to increase our giving to the Annual Fund of The Rotary Foundation. Support for Safe Water projects should be in addition to not in place of our support of The Rotary Foundation. We have combined the power of increased giving to the Annual Fund with the power of matching support grants from R.I. and other Non-governmental Organizations to fund our projects. Increased support dollars given to TRF are dedicated to water projects when they return to the District as DDF dollars in three years. The DDF dollars are matched 100% by R.I. Matching Grants. In essence, clubs are paying ahead. We Make it Easier to Help SafeWater Plus can provide speakers and program support to help clubs and Districts get started on a water project. Our “cookie cutter” plan is very easily adopted and modified to fit any club or District in the Rotary world.
