of Students Connecting Through International Service spoke with Rogers Rotary. An important six-school program helps 5th graders lead school supply drives and then deliver the supplies directly to Mexican students. These Mexican children are required to provide their own school supplies to attend school, and most can’t, so the MN kids are making it possible for the Mexican students to get an education. The MN students benefit too! They learn about another culture, gain a deeper appreciation for their own schools and communities, and find out first-hand that their individual efforts can make a real difference in the world. After the trip, they share this knowledge, through video, pictures, and stories, with each of their schools and communities We think this program is helping all of the students to progress towards becoming successful, contributing global citizens.
