STRIVE Mentorship

STRIVE:  Students Taking a Renewed
Interest in the Value of Education

High school seniors ranked in the lowest tier of their class have little hope for their futures.

Rotarians see great potential in these students. The STRIVE program instills messages of motivation, confidence, life skills, and perseverance in each student. Rogers High School students who completed the Rotary STRIVE program are a remarkable testament to its success. In one case, an RHS senior raised her GPA from 0.65 to 2.5 during the STRIVE school year program. She went on to become St. Cloud University’s Student President.
What life skills does STRIVE teach students?
  • Making good choices
  • Managing personal finances
  • Making change permanent
  • Developing a positive sense of self
  • Planning for success
  • Setting good goals
STRIVE motivates high school seniors to prepare for a successful future. Rotarians invest in these students’ lives. These volunteer mentors’ life experience helps create student leaders for tomorrow.
