A-Dollar-A-Day is the 2011-12 Challenge

Every Rotarian, Every Year

Now that Rogers Rotary achieved 100% giving to the Every Rotarian, Every Year campaign, the 2011-12 year brings a new, two-part challenge.

  1. Strive to contribute one dollar each day – a $365 total contribution to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) by June 30, 2012.
  2. Have 100% of the Rogers Rotary members make a down payment towards that amount by August 24th when District Governor Chuck Berg visits the club.

Rogers Rotary President, Floyd Ingersoll presented his check for $365 to TRF chairman Jack HInes and Bruce Johnson at the July 13 meeting. We have a countdown to accomplish this record-setting goal within the District 5950. Bring your initial (or full!) payment to the next meeting. Just a dollar a day makes a global difference.

2011-12 Presidential Citation

Rotary Leaders for the 2011-12 year

The new Rotary International President, Kalyan Banerjee wants to stress the importance of both membership and continued support of the The Rotary Foundation. He has established the following criteria for recognition during 2011-12. The actions and criteria support the priorities and goals identified within the RI Strategic Plan: strengthen clubs, increase humanitarian service, and enhance public image.

Rotary Foundation requirements and membership requirements must both be attained for recognition. All clubs and districts that have been certified as reaching these goals will receive a certificate singed by Kalyan Banerjee. In addition, the top 15 certified clubs and districts will be eligible for onstage recognition at the 2010 RI Convention in Bangkok. To read the full citation click on this link.
